Password Protection for Metrics
Set and enable a metric password to prevent others from editing the metric.
You can set a password for an individual metric or for a folder that includes everything that exists under it (subfolders and sub metrics). If a metric is added under a password-protected folder, you need to apply a password to protect the new metric if you want it protected.
If a metric or folder is password protected, you cannot delete, cut, or rename it.
If you save to the metric library, all of the passwords are stored (encrypted) in the template.
Password Protecting Individual Metrics
After you set a password and enable password protection on the metric, you cannot edit any information on that metric without using the password to disable password protection.
Password Protecting Folders
After you set a password and enable password protection on a folder, you cannot edit information for any existing metrics within that folder. You can add new metrics as needed; however, they won't automatically be password protected.
To password protect the new metric, you either have to password protect it individually or clear and set the password and enable protection again at the folder level.
